January 17, 2022) was born in Tibet and was one of the chief lineage holders of the Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism. Khenchen means Great Khenpo (teacher) of the lineage. Rinpoche was also appointed by the 16th Karmapa to be a main tutor of Trungram Gyalwa Rinpoche.
